You may remember Our First Porch Makeover featuring our Jefferson Woven Rockers. This summer, we were approached by a friend and neighbor of one of our sales employees. Blake and his wife, Amanda, were wrapping up the build of their new home and the vision for their front porch included POLYWOOD® Tangerine South Beach Adirondacks.
Our South Beach Adirondack sits higher than our other Adirondack styles (16” seat height) – which could be a perfect fit for those who are taller. It also features a wider frame allowing more room for you to put up your feet and get cozy under a blanket. Bonus! The arms are actually oversized too so you can easily rest your drink close by your side.
While Blake and Amanda chose Tangerine for their new chairs, we were curious what other lumber colors would pair well with their home. We figured this was a great opportunity to show how a few of our vibrant colors (along with a neutral) could be styled with the colors and textures of the ever popular Craftsman style home.
First up, Lemon.
We love how the yellow plays off the beachy blue siding. Adding in warmer accents with Sunbrella® Sesame pillows and flirty coral accessories really pulls the look together.
Next, we tried Lime.
We like the idea of warming up this look with rich, dark wood planters and bronze/metallic accessories. Navy pillows add to this more modern, slightly masculine color scheme and help balance the dark wood against the mid-gray tones of the stone.
As a neutral option, we chose Teak which automatically adds warmth to this porch.
We like the idea of playing up this traditional look with mustard accessories and Navy pillows (yes, we used Navy again because Navy goes with almost everything!). As a final touch, we like the idea of adding in a lilac planter with yellow flowers which gives this look a romantic feel.
For the final look that actually stayed at Blake and Amanda’s house, we have Tangerine.
Inspired by an existing teal planter (with the fern on the left), we like the idea of playing up a teal and deep cranberry color combination with contrasting Spa pillows. (Scroll down for the full Before/After.)
Blake and Amanda have been loving their cozy porch space and are still receiving compliments from the neighbors as they drive by. Blake even mentioned that the vibrant orange color makes it really easy for them to direct guests to their home, “Just look for the bright orange Adirondacks!” he always tells guests.
